Chords of You Are So Faithful by Lenny LeBlanc

Lenny LeBlanc (born June 17, 1951) is an American musician and songwriter, half of the music duo LeBlanc and Carr. A successful songwriter and singer, it was nearly impossible to turn on the radio in the late 70’s without hearing Lenny LeBlanc’s hit ballad, “Falling.” He was an integral part of the phenomenon that became know as Muscle Shoals Music.  Even though there were plenty of friends and other career distractions, he knew where he wanted music to take him, and he possessed the drive to make it happen.

A self-taught musician, Lenny describes his childhood as “somewhere between dirt poor and middle class.” His first real experience with music came with the discovery of an old upright piano in his aunt’s dark basement. That initial encounter with an old instrument awakened the gift inside of him.  LeBlanc says, “I remember laying in my bed at night wishing for a piano.”

Verse 1:
         G             D
Like the sun that rises everyday,
C          G       Am7            D
You are so faithful. Lord, You are faithful.
         G             D
Like the rain that You send,
          C             G
And every breath that I breathe,
Am7        D         G
You are so faithful, Lord

Verse 2:
         G               D
Like the rose that comes alive every spring,
C          G        Am7           D
You are so faithful. Lord, You are faithful.
         G             D
Like the life that You give,
          C          G
to every beat of my heart,
Am7        D         G
You are so faithful, Lord.

PreChorus:
          Am            G                D
I see the cross and the price You had to pay,
          Am         G              F   Dsus7  D
I see the blood that washed my sins away.

Chorus:
       G            D
In the midst of the storm
           C             G
through the wind and the waves,
Am7             G         Am7             D
You'll still be faithful, You'll still be faithful,
         G       D                C          G
When the stars refuse to shine and time is no more,
Am7             G
You'll still be faithful,
Am7             D         G
You'll still be faithful, Lord.
